For the 23-24 seasons, the following sections are open for auditions. If the instrument is not listed, no auditions will be held for that instrument.
- 1st Violin: 1-2 open seats and substitute list
- 2nd Violin: Substitute list
- Viola: Substitute list
- Cello: Substitute list
- Flute: Substitute list
- Horn: Substitute list
- Trombone: Substitute list
- Harp: 2nd harp and Substitute list
- Piano: Substitute list
Admission to the orchestra with seating placement or the substitute list will depend on the results of the audition rubric and will will be announced by the Executive Director.
Feedback from the completed rubric forms can be provided directly to an anyone who auditions on request.
Please note: The Austin Civic Orchestra is civic organization and as such all members are volunteers. The ACO rehearses on most Tuesday evenings at the Austin High School Band Hall on Cesar Chavez for two hours. We plan to perform 8 concerts in 23-24.
