The second half of the New Beginnings season finds the Austin Civic Orchestra partnering again with The University of Texas at Austin for the 11th Texas Rising Stars concert at Bates Recital Hall. The winners of the Butler School of Musicā€™s String Concerto CompetitionĀ perform concerti accompanied by the orchestra.

Tickets for this concert are free, but we strongly encourage you to reserve your tickets in advance. Tickets are also available at the door.

This collaborative concert between the Butler School of Music and Austin Civic Orchestra was conceived by UT professor Brian Lewis and is funded in part by the David and Mary Winton Green Chair in String Performance and Pedagogy.

This concert has no admission charge – a gift to the Austin community.Ā Ā
